While the first part of the master study program provides a basic foundation of sustainable energies and entrepreneurship, the second part puts a special emphasis on the latest generation of mini grids, its main technological and entrepreneurial developments and future challenges.
Available energy is usually the prerequisite for a reliable water supply for agriculture as well as for households. Access to clean and affordable water is ensured by ground water pumps. Food production depends on irrigation water provision. The nexus between energy, water, food production and entrepreneurship will be developed in the curriculum of the international, interdisciplinary study program.

The international master study program is offered in English and will take two years to study (4 semesters, 120 ECTS) at the Munich School of Engineering.The launch of the program is scheduled for the winter term 2021/22.
Guest professors and post doc researchers from our partner universities will be invited to offer seminars regarding sustainable energies and entrepreneurship in their home countries. Leading experts in the field in the context of the Global South will be involved as external lecturers. And interesting and highly relevant online courses like “Enabling Entrepreneurs to Shape a Better World” will be offered by the Social Entrepreneurship Academy.
